I'm off again ...

Righto kids ... the time has come!

Tomorrow I head to India for my new adventure! I hope there are zany dudes like in this photo everywhere

Can't deny I am anxious to get this science right but feel strangely calm about the personal part of such a big change. It has been an exhausting few months for my family and I (never would I recommend moving interstate and overseas in 2 months) but on the other side the calm is finally coming over me. Special people will be at home while I take off again, and that security means more to me than anything.

Posting may be sparse for a few weeks while my creative brain comes back to life... in the meantime you are welcome to visit over at Wander Wallah...

I love this room so so so so so much...

In fact, I love it so much I styled my bedroom in Melbourne with this picture in mind. I adore the combination of stripes and houndstooth, together with the gilded frames and shapely lamp ...

Clearly, I'm not in India yet - security planning and lack of a house is holding things up - nice to have a few more weeks for decorating Kims house and playing with my friends and family xx

Dishy Darcy ...

I'm just a little bit of a Colin Firth fan ... only a teensy bit though, it's not like I'm obsessed or anything (by gosh, the man is a major spunk!)

I have posted photos of this kitchen before (I can never resist a vase of blossom), but I was excited to stumble across the link to photos of the rest of the loft...

It is the personal residence of Roman and Williams' principals architects Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch... don't you just love the combination of rambly furniture and modern finishes...?

Heavenly heavy library bookshelves ... and I love that squishy vintage couch ...

I've been dreaming of an antique draftsman's table for years, especially if it could be coupled with such a gorgeous stool as this...

And they have more library shelves?? How lucky are they?!

But what library would be complete without a book press... sigh, I have been peering at one at auction for weeks now but chickened out since I am leaving the country - I should have bid!

Vintage, scrubby, slightly tarnished trophy's are brilliant props ... even better if  is isn't you who has done the winning, I would say! 

Much nicer if they have some history; imagine some mustached old professor who won the over 70's golf tournament in 1953 and was presented with this cup... that beats than under 9's netball any day!

This is a great room... I'm such a sucker for a stripy couch!

Warm Pug ...

As it gets increasingly colder in the Adelaide hills and my family start to pull their winter jackets out of storage, I am, inversely, gearing up for 46 degrees of hot, hot, hot in India ... this is rather unfortunate because I do love the cold ... but I'm sure I will learn to love this crazy, sticky, sweaty challenge even more ... I hope!

In about a week I will be on my way ... wow, has this snuck up on me ...
