Trophy ...

Vintage, scrubby, slightly tarnished trophy's are brilliant props ... even better if  is isn't you who has done the winning, I would say!
Much nicer if they have some history; imagine some mustached old professor who won the over 70's golf tournament in 1953 and was presented with this cup... that beats than under 9's netball any day!

  1. Your collection is gorgeous!! They're like family photos I see in the antique shops - a part of someone's life now living in someone else's home ~ they are a true work of art though and look great grouped together.
    Thanks for sharing ~

  2. I so agree; vintage trophies are not only gorgeous but you have a sense of mystery attached to them. Each shares a story.

  7. We have so many of these around home, dozens all won by the last 3 generations of family in golf, sailing and cricket. I remember visiting my grandparents in school holidays and helping to polish them and she would tell me how they had all been won. Thanks for a lovely memory evoking post :-)
